Bolt large necklace gold
Description
This lightning bolt necklace is inspired by David Bowie's iconic album cover, Aladdin Sane, released in 1973. In that album, Bowie is retiring his legendary Ziggy Stardust character. A new glam rock icon comes to life: Aladdin Sane which is a pun for "a lad insane".
I made this tribute necklace upon the request of my friend Cristina who is a die-hard Bowie fan and I thought she might not be the only one to want to sport her admiration for the glam rock star. The hand enameled lightning bolt necklace would make a perfect gift for all the David Bowie fans in your life. This is the large version, a more dainty version is also available here and hoop earrings are there.
Size: the lightning bolt is approximately 1 inch high and half an inch wide.

Measure your neck circumference
- Stand up straight, relax your shoulders.
- Wrap a flexible measuring tape around the narrowest part of your neck, just below the Adam's apple.
- Keep the tape snug but not tight and parallel to the ground
Find out your necklace length
Length will depend on your neck size and your preferred necklace fit, as outlined below:
- Small: neck size between 12.5 and 13.5in (31.8 to 34cm).
- Medium: neck size between 13.5 and 14.5in (34 to 37cm).
- Large: neck size between 14.5 and 15.5in (37 to 39cm).
Other factors to consider
- Every necklace comes with a 2" adjustment chain in addition to the length you selected.
- Chest size: avoid having a pendant falling just between the breasts.
- Height of the pendant to add to the avorall fall point of the chain.
- Type of collar worn with the jewelry and style preference.
