FAQ
Ordering
What ring size should I buy?
This is a tricky question when buying rings online. I explain in detail in this article how to best answer it depending on your situation.
Do you offer half sizes or additional sizes?
I am happy to accommodate any size request whether it is to make a ring in a half size like 5.5, a larger size like 14 or a smaller size like 3. Just select the size closest to your desired size among the available options and write in the order note “please make it in size (insert your desired size)”.
Can I get a different chain length?
I cut the chains from spools of sterling silver or 14k gold filled chain so I am more than happy to do so at the length of your choice. While placing your order, select the closest length available and just write in the order note section” please make chain (enter desired length)”.
I am also able to transform a long necklace design into a short one. For example the large hot air balloon necklaces is on a pull over 30 inches chain but if you prefer to wear it on a 22 inches chain and closed with a lobster clasp I can most certainly do that for you, just enter your request in the order note and I will do my best to accommodate you.
Do you offer custom colors?
Yes I do! You can select free custom colors among the current enamel colors already in my repertoire: available enamel colors.
If you need colors outside of the existing repertoire I can accommodate also for a 20% surcharge on the regular price of the jewelry piece you want to customize.
Do you create custom designs?
Yes I do, you can send me sketches, inspirations or descriptions the most detailed possible and I will turn them into a piece of jewelry. Bear in mind that the cost of a custom design is higher than the cost of a similar piece in my regular line because I need to make a prototype and mold for your unique design and that adds a flat fee on top of the usual manufacturing costs.
Do you offer engraving?
Yes, I can offer either laser engraving or hand engraving for about $30 per word.
I lost an earring, can you help me?
I absolutely empathize, it happened to me many times too, I know how you feeI but rest assured that this is not the end of the world: I can make you a replacement twin earring!
First, to avoid losing dangly earrings hanging from french ear wires I always add clear plastic stoppers to prevent the unfortunate event from happening, so make sure you always have them on!
OK It happened, you lost one of your favorite earrings now what? Breathe in and out, don’t fret. Take a picture of your survivor earring and email it to me at info@pepitehome.com, explain that you would like to order a single earring replacement. I will likely be able to do that, in some instances if the picture is not clear enough I might need you to mail me the leftover one so I can better match it by finding the exact right color mix (each time is a bit different due to the handmade nature of my process). Once your replacement earring is finished I will email you back with a link to order the replacement one on the website.
I would like this design but in solid gold, can you make it?
It is the best compliment to me when you decide that you love one of my designs enough that you want to make it last forever and have it in solid gold.
Most of my designs can be made out of white, pink or yellow gold in a variety of karats ranging from 10k to 18k. If you would like to start the discussion about getting your own solid gold piece please contact me.
Shipping, Returns & Exchanges
Can I return my order?
Conditions for returning an order can be found here.
Do you ship overseas?
Yes, we ship all over the world. Shipping costs will apply, and will be added at checkout.
How long will it take for my order to arrive?
I make all the jewelry by hand from scratch upon your order so it takes a little time. I also depend on my metal caster, polisher and gold plater so if they are slammed with work it will directly affect my production timeline. That being said, I am in most cases able to ship your jewelry within 7 business days after you placed your order. To this production duration you add shipping time which is about 2 to 3 business days for domestic orders and roughly 10 days for international orders. Note that timing for international orders may vary with customs retention delays and other events beyond my control.
If you need the jewelry to arrive by a certain date because you have a special occasion coming up, please email at info@pepitehome.com and I will tell you if it is feasible, we might have to upgrade to overnight shipping to expedite the delivery.
When your order is shipped, I sent you an email containing the tracking for your parcel. Sometimes that email can land in your spam folder so please check it first or sometimes you entered an incorrect email address so my email goes nowhere. If after reading this you feel like your jewelry should have already shipped and you didn’t get any tracking email, feel free to contact me at info@pepitehome.com and I will be happy to assist you.
Jewelry information
How should take care of my jewelry?
Take off your jewelry before showering, going to sleep, swimming or practicing sports.
Avoid exposing it to harsh chemicals like bleach, nail polish removers or even perfumes (put on your perfume or hair spray before putting on your jewelry).
Do not store your jewelry in your bathroom or kitchen sink, humidity is not a friend! Instead, to avoid tarnishing, store each piece in individual plastic zip bag with the clasp hanging out for the necklaces so that the chain doesn’t get tangled inside.
If you want to layer necklaces or stack rings, make sure that no other piece is rubbing against the enamel jewelry pieces as it might damage their surface.
Avoid banging on doors, countertops or walls directly with your jewelry as it will alter its shape and might damage enamel, stones or create irreparable scratches in the metal.
Have a designated pouch or zipper where you put away your jewelry when you’re at the gym because it could get damaged or lost forever if you just throw it in your purse.
If needed shine them up with a soft cloth.
Can I shower with my jewelry on?
If the piece you are wearing is plain sterling silver or gold with no enamel you can go ahead, in all other cases please avoid at all costs! It will damage the enamel and will drastically accelerate the fading of the gold plating.
How can I clean my jewelry?
You can use a soft microfiber cleaning cloth or jeweler’s cloth.
What is 14k Gold filled?
14k gold filled is a qualitative yet affordable alternative to 14k gold. It is made by bonding with heat and pressure a layer of solid 14k gold to a brass core. The process makes gold filled very long lasting and puts your skin only in contact with gold which is ideal for sensitive skin.
In my gold toned jewelry I use 14k gold filled for the chains, adjustment chains, jump rings, lobster clasps, ear threaders and french ear wires. Since my design pieces are cast I cannot make them in 14k gold filled because the heat and pressure bonding technique is not available to jewelers.

I have metal allergy, can I wear your jewelry?
One can be allergic to any metal but in most cases, people are allergic to Nickel. It usually manifests itself within a few hours after the contact with the metal and you might experience a rash, itching or redness in the area touching the metal.
I do not use any nickel in my jewelry and all my silver tones pieces are in 925 sterling silver. I do not plate my gold tone pieces with nickel either, only 14k micron gold on top of bronze and my chains and findings are in 14k Gold Filled.
925 sterling silver means that 92.5% of the metal is pure silver and 7.5% is usually copper but in some cases very infime traces of nickel might be present within those 7.5%. For the vast majority of people it is largely unnoticeable and very well tolerated but for people who are highly allergic to nickel you might want to steer clear even from 925 sterling silver.
If you are allergic to nickel but you like silvery white tone jewelry it can be made for you using either nickel free argentium or in the case of white gold jewelry, nickel can be replaced with palladium and rhodium as inert “whitening” agents in the alloy.
Nickel is a hard, silvery white, corrosion resistant metal that is used to brighten the color of an alloy. It is very common for cheap poorly manufactured jewelry that you can find in big chain stores to be completed covered with nickel because it gives shine and sturdiness at a very low cost to jewelry made in tin or pewter that might otherwise be very soft and dull. If you suspect you have metal allergies I would suggest you only buy jewelry directly from people who make it and will be able to tell you more about the materials they use.
What are your earring posts made out of?
- In the Fine section on the website, all earrings are entirely made in solid 14k gold.
- In the rest of the store, all posts used are 925 sterling silver soldered either to a sterling silver or bronze piece and plated with 14k gold for the gold tone post earrings.
